15/05/2010:
At approximately 08h00 SAST the station main console was reset to
factory default. Thereafter, cumulative rain fall readings were zeroed
and all relative barometric pressure readings were incorrect.
Initially
the 'relative' baro readings would have been an estimated 30 hPa less
than actual. An attempt to correct this resulted in a set of readings
some 20 hPa over. By 17h00 SAST on the 16/08/2010 readings would have
been corrected.
21/05/2010:
At approximately 16h00 SAST the Anemometer was repositioned to a higher,
more open position. Wind speed and direction are expected to be more
consistent and accurate.
16/06/2010: It has been
noted that the station looses outdoor temperature and wind data when the
outdoor ambient temperature drops below approx 4.5 deg C and then will
automatically recover once the ambient temperature has risen again.
Problem is ongoing. Cause of the problem is not known.
22/08/2010:
Prolonged mains power outage from 07h00 to 18h15 SAST. Server down, no
updates to Internet for this period. Limited data retained in weather
station console.

- 3/09/2010: Server down after update of Operating System software.

- 12/09/2010: Server down due to software driver failure. Restored at
approx 11h45 SAST on 12/09 using reserve machine as server.
19/09/2010:
Prolonged mains power outage from 05h00 to 18h45 SAST. Server down, no
updates to Internet for this period. Limited data retained in weather
station console.

updates to Internet for this period. However, missing data is retained
on sever.
10/10/2010:
Prolonged mains power failure and ADSL outage from 05h10 to 20h00 SAST. Server down, no
updates to Internet for this period. Limited data retained in weather
station console.
14/10/2010:
Mains power failure from 00h00 to 06h00 SAST. Server down, no
updates to Internet for this period. Limited data retained in weather
station console.
23/10/2010:
Various off-line periods during the day - Server Operating System
software upgrade. Most data retained in station console and updated to
Internet sites.

- 15/11/2010: Server down from approx.19h00 on the 14th to 07h00 on the
16th. Most data retained in the station console and updated to Internet
sites. (All Times SAST).

- 23/12/2010: Prolonged ADSL failure from approx. 16h30 on the 3rd to
20h30 on the 23rd. Data for this period retained on server and most
updated to Internet sites.
02/2011:
Various ADSL outages early in the Month. All data should be
updated.
09-10/03/2011:
Server down during the night / early morning after automatic update of Operating
System software.
12/03/2011:
Intermitant Server down for various periods during the day. Data not
updated to Internet.
13/03/2011:
Intermitant Server down for various period during the day. Data not
updated to Internet.
14/03/2011:
Intermitant Server down for various period during the day. Data not
updated to Internet.
10/04/2011:
Server unavilable from approx. 09h30 to 11h30, Network card failure on
Server. Main console restarted to re-sync date and time. Some data not
recorded due to difference between server time and console time.
01/05/2011:
Server down for planned maint. 09h30 to 11h00. (UPS and Battery maint).
All data updated.
20/05/2011:
Network and internet access down (Server and Router). 19h00 to 21h30
approx. (IP changed).
29/05/2011:
Shutdown approx 15h30, Battery change in remote sensor, restart all.
Remote sensor and Console not syncronised and no data for approx two
hours.
03/06/2011:
Remote sensor not sync to Console (no wireless link) Data lost. 08h30 to
20h30 approx. New
batteries in Console. Console reset. Rain and Wind sensors temp
disabled. Remote sensor moved closer to Console to check possible
wireless link problem.
04/06/2011:
Remote sensor failed to send data from 04h45 to 08h50 then restarts of
its own accord. The outdoor temp readings are in direct sun (ie
unshaded) for the morning untill approx 11h00 when sensor was returned
to its usual shaded position.
15-16/06/2011: Server down from
approx. 21hoo on the 15th to 11h00 on the
16th. Most data retained in the station console and updated to Internet
sites. Some data lost. (All Times SAST).
24-25/06/2011:
Remote sensor not sync to Console (no wireless link) Data lost. Remote
sensor stops sending when temperature drops below 4.5 deg (see:
16/06/2011). Reset remote sensor and console to re-establish.
08-09/08/2011:
Prolonged Mains power failure from 22h00 to 04h00 SAST. Server and ADSL
down after UPS 20mins exhausted, no
updates to Internet for this period. Limited data retained in weather
station console.
29/09/2011:
Server accidently switched off at approx 08h30 and only restarted at
approx19h00 SAST. No
updates to Internet for this period. Limited data retained in weather
station console.
